Built as a hunting lodge in 1300 by the monastery Herrenchiemsee the Schwendterwirt has been hosting guests since 1554. Today it is run as a modern hotel by the family Schwaiger, which – with a lot of love – keeps up the long tradition of warm hospitality you feel in every corner of the house.

In 2006 the house underwent an extensive renovation. 14 new and spacious rooms were added and a 300 m² (3230 sq.ft.) Spa area - offering you a magnificent view over the Tyrolean mountains - was constructed in the loft. The Spa area features sauna, solarium, steam bath, massage room and Kneipp basin.
With our newly decorated hotel rooms 'Wohnkomfort', the generously built Spa area and our own swimming pond we are determined to make your holiday an unforgettable one. Treat yourself to our home-made local delicacies and enjoy an untroubled and easy-going time in the Schwendterwirt.
